‘Looking Back – Dreaming Forward: A Life Story Journey’

(Ojai, CA)–Ojai Valley Inn & Spa’s 2009 Arts & Leisure Series explores The Art of Health and Well-Being with a three-day program ‘Looking Back - Dreaming Forward; A Life Story Journey’ in April. The Inn’s Artist's Cottage and Apothecary is a haven for guests seeking to extend their Spa experience by exploring their creativity through its daily offerings of workshops and classes.
This three-day/four-night package gives guests the chance to acknowledge their gratitude for life through a journey of personal discovery. It will reveal the thread that weaves through the inner world of memories and lessons that often identify the purpose and direction in one's life. The project takes the form of a book, a box of treasures or a sculpture to become the container of one's self.
Guests begin their journey with the creation of a very revealing and introspective personal Mandala. This art project provides clarity and understanding in honouring the path to self-expression. Spa treatments are included throughout the journey to leave one with renewed energy to embrace and complete the challenge of their self-discovery. The program ends with one of Ojai Valley Inn & Spa’s signature offerings, a Custom Blending of essential oils at the Artist's Cottage and Apothecary. This is the perfect punctuation to a journey begun in the dream.
Schedule*:
April 19 - Noon check-in (noon) followed by welcome reception and Mandala making at the Artist’s Cottage.
April 20 - Guided walk, breakfast, project session, lunch, project session, spa treatment, dinner, discussion and feedback session.
April 21 - Yoga stretch, breakfast, project session, picnic lunch, project session and discussion, spa treatment, dinner, finalize project.
April 22 - Tai Chi, breakfast, custom blending of essential oils, 1 p.m. checkout.
