Buddy Bombard’s Europe reports increased travelers on Swiss Winter Alps trips

Breathtaking alpine scenery and cultural experiences draw eager adventurers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(West Palm Beach, FL)–Buddy Bombard’s Europe reports a significant increase in travelers on their 2006 Swiss Winter Alpine Adventures, with nearly 200% more travelers on the exotic offerings as compared to previous seasons. Advance bookings for the January 2007 season indicate the demand for Buddy Bombard’s annual 9-day, 8-night Highlights of the Alps & Château d’Oex International Balloon Festival programs will continue to support the latest trends. This impressive increase in numbers makes a bold statement about the demand for Buddy Bombard’s all-inclusive unique style of luxury adventure vacations.

On all of Bombard’s Swiss Winter Alpine Adventures, guests enjoy a dramatic, multi-dimensional immersion into the majesty of the winter Swiss Alps, surrounded by stunning Alpine scenery, gourmet food and wines, and authentic local culture, on land and during Bombard’s trademark low-level sightseeing adventures by balloon planned for each day throughout every trip.

On all winter programs, Buddy Bombard guests make their home for 5 or 8-nights at the 5-star Grand Hotel Park located just outside the enchanting walk around village of Gstaad. By mid morning each day, guests find themselves drifting at low level in Buddy’s balloons through some of the most majestic scenery in the world, and just above treasured local landmarks. These daily adventures also feature a gourmet picnic lunch prepared by Buddy’s own chefs, served with tantalizing regional wines and enjoyed while sightseeing in the balloons. Upon landing guests share a champagne celebration with awed locals who gather in greeting.

After each magical balloon outing the day continues, visiting local points of interest by private car, or with time for a toddy and snuggling by the fire, or enjoying the charming shops and boutiques in the world-famous village of Gstaad. Among the planned events for each evening are fabulous dinner parties hosted by Buddy Bombard in the area’s most famous premier and gourmet restaurants, featuring excellent wines with French, Mediterranean or nouvelle Swiss cuisines with authentic raclette and marvelous local cheeses.

Each winter, two of the 5-night programs are extended to 8-nights, which include several days of participation in the Château d’Oex International Balloon Festival. Bombard guest’s drift through the snowy valleys with more than 100 balloons from all over Europe, a rainbow of colors and creative shapes against the magnificent backdrop of the Alps. Buddy Bombard’s Highlights of the Alps and Château d’Oex International Balloon Festival trip is a whimsical adventure that will inspire a belief in magic for travelers of all ages.

“2007 marks the 29th year of this wonderful European Festival and for nearly as long, our standing invitation to participate with our guests,” said Buddy Bombard, president of Buddy Bombard’s Europe. “It’s a brilliant mix of professional play and pageantry, that leaves our travelers in disbelief that they were a part of such a glorious happening.”

Sally and Bernard Killoran of Green Bay, Wisconsin took the Highlights of the Alps and Château d’Oex International Balloon Festival as their first trip in 2001. Being so inspired with a Bombard experience they decided then and there to complete the series of Bombard offerings. This was accomplished in 2006 during Buddy’s 30th anniversary season.

Sally said of her first experience with the Highlights of the Alps and Château d’Oex International Balloon Festival, “Buddy took exquisite care of his guests, we were totally pampered, every day brought a new highlight and we were made feel like royalty. It was spectacular to float over the Swiss winter countryside, and we marveled at nature’s beauty, the intricate ice-patterns on streams and the snow formations amid the towering pines that are only seen from the vantage point of a Bombard low-level ballooning experience.”

The 2007 Swiss Winter Alps dates are:

  • Highlights of the Alps, 6-days, 5-nights offered February 1st – 6th, 2007 and February 6th – 11th, 2007 at $9,767 per person, double occupancy.
