| Canadian Mountain Holidays Founder Honored
Canadian Mountain Holidays founder Hans Gmoser was honoured by the Honourable Michael Wilson, Ambassador of Canada to the United States, and Murray Smith, Minister Counsellor for Alberta, on April 5, at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, for his contribution to Canada’s mountain heritage.
Hans’s accomplishments are impressive and include founding director of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG), prolific climber, feature filmmaker, inventor of heli-skiing; founding director of the British Columbia Helicopter and Snowcat Skiing Operators Association (now HeliCat Canada), tourism innovator, and founder of Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH), to name only a few.
